Dear Reader,
Vincent James is one of my heroes.
He has been for a long time. Back in 2006, Vincent wrote a book called “The 12 Month Millionaire” and that book is still worth reading even today.
In fact, I just finished re-reading it for the forth time and, as always, it stimulated a storm of hot ideals!
Anyway, there is a sales-pitch in the book, which illustrate an important element of writing sales copy, and I’m going to copy that below, so you can read it.

Is A New, Muscular, And Hulk-Like Body Worth $59.95 To You?
It sure would be worth it if you’re single and after taking Dynabolics, you start to attract beautiful women, twice as hot as your previous lovers. Could you imagine the new sex-life that is waiting for you?
It sure would be worth it if you were ever in a violent confrontation with one or more men. When your safety is on the line, your brute strength is all you have to survive. If you were H-U-G-E, do you really think it’s going to be easy for men to kick sand in your face? I don’t think so!
It sure would be worth it if you were a businessman- especially if you have to negotiate high-stakes deals. Trust me- you’ll always dominate the deal… leaving the conference room with everything you want. Those pencil-neck geeks would be too scared to tell you “no”… They’ll think you’d hit them over the head with one of your cannons!
So after reading the above sales-pitch, did you realize something in all the sentence?
I bet not.
You see, if you ever gonna read the above sales-pitch again, you will realize that every sentence had the word “You” in there.
So, what’s the “you” got to do with writing a sales copy?
You see, as you may or may not know, the most important element in writing a sales copy is to write…
As Personally As Possible !
In other words, you need to write in the first person view as you were really talking to the person you are writing to.
Hey, if you have been marketing online for quite sometime, you will also notice that those top gurus always mention this…
It Is Not What’s In It For You, Is What’s In It For Them !
You see, is all about your prospect.
You must understand, the prospect reading your copy doesn’t really care about you and your product, what he really care is, what’s in it for them.
Actually it goes the same to all written sales publication.
I heard one of Gary Halbert’s seminar (I forgot which one), he said a sentence that’s related to writing copy as personal as possible and that is…
You Only Sell One Thing To One Person At One Time !
What Gary mean by that is whenever you are writing your sales copy, just imagine, you are selling your one product to that one person you are referring to, at the specific time.
By just putting yourself in that mind set, I’m sure you will get more sales then you possibly can believe or even handle!
