Start taking copy that you like and try to figure out what you like about it. Then, rewrite the copy to see if you can expand on it. NEVER SUBMIT THAT AS YOUR OWN WORK THOUGH. When you start to see the patterns of certain copy you will begin to define the rules of that particular type of copy. You can then start to follow (or break) these rules as you write your own original copy.
